Berthoud is located in Larimer and Weld counties, just south of Loveland off of Highway 287. This charming town was originally settled in the late nineteenth century based on farming and a new railroad line.

Known as the "Garden Spot of Colorado", many Berthoud streets are tree lined. This small town boasts a rapidly increasing art community, including dance companies, annual quilt show, arts center, and sculpture on display at Fickel Park. The downtown business district of Berthoud offers a variety of services, restaurants and retail shopping. Several painted murals on downtown buildings colorfully depict local history.
