The Town of Lyons is known as "The Double Gateway to the Rockies" due to its proximity to St. Vrain Creek and the fact its location offers two canyon paths into the mountains and, more specifically, Rocky Mountain National Park. Lyons is located in north central Boulder County and occupies 1.2 square miles.

Lyons also offers many unique antique shops that draw treasure seekers from all around Colorado. The Summer Concert Series features local artists and Lyons Good Old Days and Lyons Outdoor Games are fun local events with food, games, music and more. While Lyons itself features acres and acres of parks and open space, the areas surrounding Lyons also offer ample natural wilderness to explore, including Rabbit Mountain and Lion Gulch Trail.
Real Estate:
Much of the residential real estate in Lyons consists of cozy single-family homes, cabins and rustic retreats, although recent new construction broadens the spectrum to include luxury homes on acreage. Ranching and farming are still prevalent surrounding Lyons. Commercial real estate is found in the downtown area of Lyons with retail, office space, restaurants and light industrial.
