Located at US 52 and US 85 and next to the South Platte River, Fort Lupton is in southwestern Weld County. Covering 4 square miles, Fort Lupton maintains a small town atmosphere, and offers an easy commute to Boulder, Longmont, Denver International Airport and almost any city along US 85 in eastern Colorado.

Fort Lupton takes pride in maintaining their rural, small-town feel and celebrates their heritage with events, such as Trapper Days with a pancake breakfast, games, booths and a parade. The South Platte Valley Historical Society is in the process of creating a 100 acre History Park in north Fort Lupton and also supports the Fort Lupton Museum.
