A beautiful Statutory Town in Delta County, Hotchkiss is located in the terrain of The North Fork Valley. In 1900 the town was officially incorporated and named for Enos T. Hotchkiss, who had scouted and staked an early claim on the land where the town is now situated. Today, many town residents engage in coal mining, ranching and organic farming.
