The city of Greeley is located in Weld County and is the county seat for Weld County. Greeley was founded around 1870 by members of a joint stock colonization company called Union Colony of Colorado. Over the years, Greeley has transformed immensely. What once started out as a small one-square mile village; has now turned into a booming and thriving city.
